Rob Ortiz serves as Managing Director of Definition 6's video
and post production division in NYC. Ortiz has 34 years experience
in the postproduction industry and has been the recipient of Emmy,
Clio and other prestigious awards for many high profile projects.
Some of the most noteworthy projects Rob has worked on include the
launch of MTV, music videos like "Push It" by Salt & Pepa,
George Carlin comedy Specials, Crazy Eddie commercials, Broadway
theatrical performances by the Neederlanders, Jazz specials at the
Blue Note, several of MTV's first Rockumentaries, and the first
four season of "YO MTV RAPS".
He spent the first 25 years of his career as a creative editor
and then transitioned into the role of a creative manager. Ortiz
started his career at Unitel Video and then co-founded 601 design,
a digital postproduction boutique that was sold to iXL in
1998. He served as iXL's NYC Managing Director, starting in
2000, and spearheaded the successful management buyout of iXL
Digital Video Group to form Creative Bubble. As Creative Bubble's
Managing Partner, Ortiz oversees the Company's day-to-day
operations and to develop and execute the Company's strategic
plan.
His eclectic 25 years of frontline editorial experiences gives
him a unique perspective in providing creative solutions for
clients and managing NYC's top creative talent.
