HBO Taps Definition 6 for Launch of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" Season Opener
NEW YORK, Jan. 19, 2011 - Definition 6, a
unified marketing agency, announced today that its 45-second TV
spot to promote the launch of the new season of HBO's "Curb Your
Enthusiasm" aired on Sunday, Jan. 16. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is
moving into its eighth season and is one of HBO's most popular
shows.
The spot, slated to run as part of an ongoing promotional
campaign for "Curb Your Enthusiasm," coincided with the season
premiere of "Big Love," an American TV drama about a fictional
Mormon family in Utah that practices polygamy.
The "Curb Your Enthusiasm" promotional campaign is produced by
Caitlin Riley and Michael Davidowitz, and is overseen by Creative
Director Becca Schader.
"One of the highlights of the new season of Curb is Larry
David's 'visit' to New York City, and HBO, who came to us with this
concept-driven spot, wanted to emphasize that in a humorous way"
said Jim Read, Creative Director at Definition 6. "We enjoyed
collaborating with them to explore different gags which Definition
6 pre-visualized and took into edit."
