The Challenge
GAC Media, a newly formed entertainment group investing in family-friendly programming, reached out to DEFINITION 6 to help rebrand and relaunch two newly acquired entertainment destinations: GAC Family and GAC Living. Each of these flagship channels – recent GAC Media acquisitions – required a brand overhaul in order to bring them back to life.
THE APPROACH
Our team jumped at the opportunity and developed a comprehensive creative strategy as well as a new visual brand identity. Working closely with GAC Media, we created a visual language that allowed each channel to have distinct identities, while maintaining a connectiveness under the umbrella of Great American Channels. With a focus on original movies and “Stories Well Told,” we wanted GAC Family to feel warm, festive, and inviting. Simultaneously, we wanted GAC Living to feel comforting, fresh, and fun – a place where viewers can experience “Life Well Lived.”
We created identity, custom audio mnemonics, two complementary on-air graphics systems, launch promos, and the GAC suite of websites. We also evolved the design for GAC’s first, and biggest, celebration of the year: Great American Christmas.
Our team was entrusted to ensure that the look and feel of the networks reflected their status as wholesome family-friendly destinations for all of life’s celebrations.
